Ignite The Mic Alexandria presents, “The Gala: An Elegant Affair.”

Ignite The Mic Alexandria is the longest running poetry organization in Central Louisiana, and the number one gathering place for artists and lovers of the arts. Ignite The Mic Alexandria is a local and privately funded creative initiative centered around unity, inclusion, diversity, and healing through the arts. We believe freedom of speech, self-determination, and the pursuit of creative excellence are inalienable rights. Furthermore, we believe poetry can be used to create a healthy dialogue about issues, often deemed taboo to discuss. We strive to create an understanding and appreciation for diverse perspectives by cultivating and amplifying creative voices.

Get dressed up and join us for a night to remember! Ignite The Mic Alexandria requests the pleasure of your company at our annual gala. Network, gain resources, promote your business, meet new clients, and make new friends. Do it all while enjoying food, drinks, poetry, singing, dancing, and live music. A portion of the show will be dedicated to the 2024 fundraising campaign of Ignite The Mic Alexandria.

Featured Artists of the Night: Hailing from the Shreveport-Bossier region, Q Major and Tyrone Marcell have been making a name for themselves with their dynamic violin performances. Although they each have over a decade of classical music experience, R&B and Hip-Hop is how they express their love for music.

This great event will take place Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Alexandria Museum of Art.

Your gala ticket is your passport to experience a night full of new connections, amazing entertainment, and fun. Advance ticket purchase via Eventbrite is required. Ticket purchase includes food and drink ticket. No outside food or drinks allowed. This is a great night to show off your best business or classy formal wear. No jeans. Those identifying as female are not “required” to wear a dress. However, dresses worn must be calf length or longer. No see-through or sheer material. Dress code strictly enforced. We reserve the right to refuse entry for dress code, and a refund will not be given.
