This year’s event will begin with the infamous Mutt Strut, a Mardi Gras-themed dog costume competition and parade-style second line. There will be prizes for the best and most unique costumes judged on by local celebrities. $15 for the first dog and $10 for any additional canine contestants. Following the canine festivities will be a live band and food trucks. For entrance to the post-Mutt Strut Block Party, please bring along some canned or other shelf-stable food for donation to our wonderful Food Bank of Central Louisiana. Bring as much as you can! Every little bit makes a difference in the fight against hunger in our communities.
Event schedule:
2:30-3:30pm – Mutt Strut pre-registration
3:30-4:00pm – Mutt Strut and Second Line
4pm – till – Block party, canned food drive for the Food Bank of Cenla
